Its been ten long years from the windows was made into public after one year microsoft stopped selling it, still it survived.
It is an incredibly resilient master piece which is being used by many millions of people and most of them are fans of Windows XP. But Lance says that we cannot hold on that forever.microsoft finally promises to end support for the aging code in 2014.It might be enough time for all the people who are still running XP to finally stop.
Basically there are many reasons for incredibly resilient master piece Windows XP's persistence.
It was the most popular Os in the world in 2006. 74% of the desktop and laptop market share was acquired by Windows Xp. Vista acquired around 17% share of Operating system for desktop and laptop market. So Xp has a very strong grip over the computer market and it spread very qucikly,deeply and very vastly into the business market.
Xp had a great appeal on market because Vista was a bit confusing for some and apparently no stable market was available for Vista. So vista could never took hold on market. Microsoft and the Pc industry doomed Vista by getting the netbook craze all by Xp itself. Before it was Linux's industry all th way until a copy of Windows Xp came into market in january of 2008. Which was released a year later Windows vista hit the market.
I felt wonderful when i asked people in Google+ they replied that they were still running Xp even after many years later from its release date. Many business companies still are running Xp like Trace Dominguez said that we wished to work on Windows7 still love working on Xp as its a great masterpiece in coding industry.
Another one which i felt special one was when one of my employee just handed to me one new Hp laptop with Wndows Xp sp3 installed in it. It might take a year more to get Windows 7 on new machiness", said Rob Verlander.
In businesses, most of the companies says that are unable to change from Xp to Windows7 in these cashstrapped times. They also say that they cannot afford the new hardware that comes with Windows7. They even are terrified that crucial business systems and services wont even run with Windows7.
Microsoft is aware of the fears and built a windows xp mode into windows7, but it only works with microsoft's virtuak pc and its a kind of a pain.
According to w3schools developers visitors preview says that 36% of visitors use windows Xp where as $3% use windows7 as Xp is slightly less than windows7 by the results of w3schools developers review point of view.
After a year there might e huge increase in the usage of Windows7 and it could be at 75% or more. Microsoft recently reported moving 450 million copies. What could be the reaction of the happy Windows7 users after lsitening to windows8 beta versions release,"no way,no how,no now".
